Responsibilities
- Review and process veterans' disability compensation claims with meticulous attention to detail
- Communicate claim status updates to veterans and their families via phone/email
- Maintain accurate digital records in VA claim management systems
- Collaborate with medical and legal teams to support complex case adjudication
- Conduct preliminary eligibility screenings for federal veteran benefits
- Prepare correspondence and documentation for claim hearings
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in healthcare/administration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and claims database systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and empathy
- Previous federal or healthcare claims processing preferred
- Part-time availability (20-25 hours/week) with flexibility for daytime shifts
