Responsibilities
- Analyze veteran healthcare datasets to identify trends in treatment outcomes and service utilization
- Develop and maintain automated reports using SQL and Tableau for leadership review
- Ensure compliance with federal data privacy regulations (HIPAA, VA Directive 6102)
- Collaborate with clinical teams to translate findings into process improvement recommendations
- Validate data integrity across VA's electronic health record systems
- Support federal grant reporting requirements for healthcare programs
- Present findings to stakeholders through executive dashboards and briefings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related field
- 2+ years analyzing federal healthcare or public sector data
- Proficiency in SQL, R, and Tableau/Power BI
- Experience with VA VistA or DoD MHS systems preferred
- Knowledge of FISMA and federal data governance standards
- Strong written communication for technical and non-technical audiences
- Active security clearance eligibility required
- Part-time availability (20-25 hrs/week) with flexible scheduling
