Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret federal healthcare datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement
- Develop and maintain automated reporting systems using SQL, Python, and R to generate performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with federal data privacy regulations (HIPAA, FISMA) and VA data governance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations
- Create interactive visualizations using Tableau and Power BI to communicate complex data narratives
- Validate data integrity through quality control procedures and documentation of methodologies
- Support federal grant reporting and performance measurement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience with federal data systems and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical analysis tools (SAS, SPSS)
- Experience with VA-specific data platforms (CDW, VistA) or federal healthcare data
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background clearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- US citizenship required
