Responsibilities
- Administer and manage federal pension plans, including contributions, withdrawals, and beneficiary designations.
- Conduct regular audits of pension records to ensure accuracy and full compliance with federal laws and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical guidance to federal employees regarding retirement eligibility and plan details.
- Prepare and analyze detailed reports on pension fund status, participation rates, and compliance metrics.
- Collaborate with HR departments to ensure seamless integration of pension data into personnel files.
- Respond to inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a federal or government-related administrative role is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of pension plans, retirement systems, and ERISA compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pension management software (e.g., ADP, Ceridian).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
