Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed reviews of employee pension eligibility and calculate estimated retirement benefits using official government formulas.
- Provide one-on-one consultations to federal employees regarding FERS, CSRS, and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) options.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for pension applications and retirement package processing.
- Stay updated on changes in federal labor laws and retirement regulations to ensure strict compliance.
- Assist in the administration of payroll deductions related to pension contributions.
- Organize and lead educational webinars regarding long-term financial planning for federal employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration, HR benefits, or federal government support roles.
- Strong knowledge of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee financial data.
