Responsibilities
- Process and verify veteran benefit applications in accordance with federal regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to veterans and their families via phone and in-person
- Maintain accurate documentation in VA case management systems
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve complex benefit inquiries
- Conduct eligibility screenings for VA healthcare and financial assistance programs
- Prepare routine reports on program performance metrics
- Participate in quarterly compliance audits and quality assurance reviews
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required (federal mandate)
- Associate degree or 60 college credits in Public Administration or related field
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience in government or healthcare
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems
- Ability to pass federal background investigation
- Valid Texas driver's license (position may require occasional travel)
- Basic knowledge of VA benefits systems preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
