Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and written inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Assist in the preparation, organization, and filing of government documents, contracts, and public records in compliance with state and local regulations.
- Coordinate schedules for departmental meetings and community outreach events.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate digital and physical records of community projects and funding allocations.
- Support grant administration tasks, including tracking deadlines and compiling required reporting materials.
- Act as a liaison between the department and the public, providing information and resolving routine issues.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably within a government, non-profit, or corporate environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic knowledge of database management systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive government information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
