Responsibilities
- Review and process pension plan applications and claims for federal employees with precision and speed.
- Conduct detailed analyses of retirement eligibility requirements and benefit calculations.
- Communicate complex pension information to clients in a clear, professional, and empathetic manner.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal government retirement regulations (FERS, CSRS) and internal policies.
- Collaborate with HR departments and state agencies to resolve discrepancies in pension records.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records for all pension plan participants.
- Assist in the development of educational materials regarding pension plan changes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Experience with government retirement systems, such as FERS or CSRS, is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and regulations accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-experts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pension management software.
- Ability to work part-time hours with a flexible schedule and meet tight deadlines.
