Responsibilities
- Analyze municipal regulations and draft policy recommendations for City Council review
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research on urban development and social welfare programs
- Prepare concise policy briefs and presentation materials for stakeholder meetings
- Coordinate with state agencies on compliance with federal grant requirements
- Support community outreach initiatives for public policy engagement
- Monitor legislative updates affecting local government operations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental task forces on strategic planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 2+ years experience in government or non-profit policy analysis
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong writing skills with samples of policy documents
- Understanding of Massachusetts state regulatory frameworks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license (occasional field visits required)
