Responsibilities
- Records Management: Process and maintain accurate, up-to-date digital and physical records of traffic citations, administrative documents, and case files.
- Customer Service: Assist the public and internal staff by answering inquiries regarding case status, document requests, and procedural guidelines.
- Data Entry: Perform high-volume data entry tasks with a focus on accuracy and speed to ensure the integrity of state databases.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly statistical reports for departmental review.
- Compliance: Ensure all records management practices adhere to state and federal regulations, including FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requirements.
- General Support: Support the Records Unit Supervisor with general administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and mail distribution.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in administrative support, clerical, or government-related roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new database management systems quickly.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Integrity: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Availability: Must be available to work a flexible part-time schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends if required by departmental needs.
