Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide Tier II support for hardware, software, and network issues to department staff and external partners.
- Maintenance: Perform routine hardware diagnostics, software updates, and system backups to ensure operational continuity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations.
- Security Compliance: Assist in enforcing IT security policies and protocols to safeguard sensitive data.
- Project Assistance: Support ongoing IT projects including equipment procurement and deployment.
- User Training: Conduct training sessions and create user guides to improve digital literacy among staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; High School Diploma with significant technical experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional IT support or help desk experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS environments; experience with Active Directory and common office software (Microsoft Office suite).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Availability: Must be available to work a part-time schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
