Responsibilities
- Deliver Technical Support: Provide tier 2 and tier 3 IT support to federal employees, resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Manage System Integrity: Monitor network hardware and software, perform regular updates, and implement security patches to protect sensitive federal data.
- Support Help Desk Operations: Manage incoming service requests, troubleshoot technical problems, and maintain detailed documentation of all support interactions.
- Ensure Compliance: Assist in enforcing federal cybersecurity policies and ensure strict adherence to OPM and DHHS security standards.
- Optimize User Experience: Collaborate with staff to improve IT workflows and provide training on new software and systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience is accepted.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional IT support experience in a corporate, government, or technical environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a suitable background investigation and security clearance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
