Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with library resources, including book circulation, reference inquiries, and digital device support
- Process new materials, manage inventory, and maintain organized shelving systems
- Conduct engaging children's programming and community outreach events
- Operate integrated library systems (ILS) and troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Enforce library policies while providing exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with team members on collection development and promotional activities
- Maintain clean, welcoming library environments for all visitors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- 6+ months customer service experience in public-facing role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic library software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required (20-25 hours/week)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License (for branch mobility)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) certification highly desirable
