What You Will Do:
- Manage the full lifecycle of pension applications, ensuring strict adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Conduct data verification and reconciliation for pension accounts to maintain fiscal accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to current and retired employees regarding benefit inquiries.
- Collaborate with external actuaries and auditors to ensure compliance with reporting standards.
- Maintain confidential electronic and physical records related to retirement plans.
- Assist in the development and updating of pension policy documentation.

Responsibilities
- Process and review pension withdrawal and retirement applications with precision and timeliness.
- Perform regular audits of pension data to identify discrepancies and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Answer complex inquiries from employees regarding eligibility, vesting, and benefit calculations.
- Update payroll systems and pension databases to reflect accurate employee status changes.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on pension fund activities and status updates.
- Assist in the administration of 401(k) and deferred compensation plans as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Human Resources preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pension administration, payroll processing, or government benefits coordination.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Working knowledge of government retirement systems and ERISA regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with a diverse population.
