Responsibilities
- Process and review pension benefit applications and requests for retirees and beneficiaries with accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct actuarial data analysis to ensure compliance with state regulations and pension fund guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reports regarding pension fund status and member contributions.
- Communicate complex pension plan details to members via phone and written correspondence, ensuring clarity and empathy.
- Update and maintain electronic records for the pension plan database, ensuring data integrity.
- Collaborate with the actuarial team to identify trends and anomalies in retirement data.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field; OR equivalent years of experience in retirement administration.
- Previous experience working with government pension plans or large-scale benefit administration systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial data processing.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee and retiree financial information.
