Responsibilities
- Review and process pension applications for federal employees under the FERS and CSRS retirement systems with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide detailed guidance and customer service to federal retirees and active employees regarding pension eligibility and benefit calculations.
- Analyze complex payroll and service history data to determine correct pension entitlements and survivor benefits.
- Collaborate with the Office of Personnel Management's Retirement Services team to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security standards regarding sensitive employee financial data and personal information.
- Participate in continuous training programs to stay updated on changes in federal pension legislation and policy.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in federal retirement administration, pension processing, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex payroll data and employment records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and federal case management software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
