Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy using CAD/RMS systems
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents (fire, EMS, police)
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation per department standards
- Operate radio communication equipment following FCC protocols
- Provide clear instructions to callers during medical emergencies or crisis situations
- Collaborate with officers and first responders using established emergency procedures
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certification requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (verified through assessment)
- Proficient with computer systems and multitasking in high-pressure environments
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm during emergency situations
- Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
