Responsibilities
- Process and prioritize 911 calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD systems
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and radio logs
- Utilize NCIC databases for criminal background checks
- Provide clear, concise instructions during emergency situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and Virginia residency
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed minimum 40 WPM (verified by test)
- Clear diction and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
