Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and empathy
- Operate CAD systems and radio communications during critical incidents
- Coordinate resources between officers, fire departments, and EMS
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Adhere to NIMS protocols and departmental procedures
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergency situations
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities
- Proficiency with computer systems and radio operations
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- Basic knowledge of Nashville geography preferred
