Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with calm professionalism and accuracy
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and CAD/RMS software
- Dispatch appropriate police units and emergency services
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide critical information to officers and responding agencies
- Remain composed during high-pressure emergency situations
- Adhere to all FCC regulations and departmental protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Proficient in typing (minimum 40 WPM)
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Valid Florida driver's license (or ability to obtain)
