Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate with officers, firefighters, and EMS via radio communication
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and emergency notification equipment
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Participate in continuous training on emergency procedures and new technologies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM) with 95% accuracy
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under extreme pressure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn specialized software
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license with clean driving record
