Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls via phone, radio, and digital systems
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software with precision
- Coordinate resources during critical incidents and natural disasters
- Maintain detailed logs and incident documentation
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies
- Train on Alaska-specific protocols and jurisdictional procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear articulation and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS, MS Office)
- Valid Alaska driver's license (or ability to obtain)
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
