Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and precision while maintaining detailed records
- Operate radio systems to dispatch police, fire, and medical units to incident locations
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Monitor multiple communication channels and prioritize incidents based on severity
- Utilize CAD systems to track unit status and maintain accurate incident documentation
- Coordinate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional emergencies
- Maintain composure under extreme pressure while delivering clear, concise instructions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Pass comprehensive background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional situational awareness
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
