Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Operate CAD/RMS systems for incident documentation
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergencies
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications
- Adhere to all FCC and department protocols
- Assist in training new dispatcher personnel
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Clear speaking voice with strong diction
- Ability to work under extreme pressure with composure
- Basic computer proficiency
- No felony convictions
