Responsibilities
- Process 911/emergency calls with accuracy and empathy during critical incidents
- Operate multi-channel radio systems for police, fire, and EMS coordination
- Utilize CAD software for real-time incident tracking and resource deployment
- Maintain detailed call logs and administrative documentation
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Collaborate with cross-agency responders during multi-jurisdictional events
- Adhere to NIMS and departmental compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed ≥40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new software
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Strong stress management and de-escalation skills
- Basic knowledge of Dane County geography
