Responsibilities
- Analyze state policies and legislation to assess impacts on El Paso communities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research using public datasets and stakeholder interviews
- Prepare concise policy briefs and recommendations for senior leadership
- Coordinate with local government agencies and community organizations
- Monitor legislative developments and regulatory changes
- Support public outreach initiatives and community engagement programs
- Maintain accurate documentation of research methodologies and findings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 2+ years of policy analysis or government relations experience
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, or R)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of Texas state government operations and procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional local travel
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
