Responsibilities
- Analyze state legislation and policy impacts using quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Prepare concise policy briefs and recommendation reports for senior leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public sector initiatives
- Monitor regulatory compliance and update agency procedures accordingly
- Present findings to stakeholders through clear visualizations and presentations
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and public opinion research
- Support grant application processes and federal compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 2+ years of policy analysis or government research experience
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software
- Strong writing skills with demonstrated ability to produce policy documents
- Knowledge of North Carolina state government operations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active security clearance or eligibility for federal background check
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (may be required for travel)
