Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts using quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Prepare concise policy briefs and executive summaries for senior leadership review
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement sessions with industry representatives and community groups
- Monitor federal labor law developments and assess implications for New York State
- Support the development of data-driven recommendations for workforce development programs
- Maintain accurate records of research methodologies and policy recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policy initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of policy analysis or research experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS, or Stata) and data visualization tools
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Strong understanding of New York State government operations and legislative processes
- Valid New York State driver's license (for occasional inter-agency travel)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
