Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts on state economic programs
- Prepare concise policy briefs and executive summaries for senior leadership
- Coordinate with state agencies, local governments, and community stakeholders
- Monitor federal policy developments affecting Washington's economic landscape
- Support grant application processes for community development projects
- Maintain accurate databases of policy outcomes and stakeholder feedback
- Present findings at public meetings and interagency committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years policy analysis or government relations experience
- Proficient in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Washington State legislative processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
