Responsibilities
- Analyze state legislation and regulatory impacts on San Antonio communities
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and recommendation memos for senior leadership
- Conduct quantitative research using statistical databases and GIS mapping tools
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions with local government partners
- Monitor implementation of state programs in Bexar County
- Coordinate cross-agency task force meetings for regional initiatives
- Maintain compliance with Texas Administrative Code requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 2+ years of policy analysis or government affairs experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools
- Strong understanding of Texas legislative processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional field visits
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
