Responsibilities
- Process and digitize public records requests in compliance with Texas Public Information Act guidelines
- Maintain accurate databases and filing systems for archived documents
- Communicate professionally with citizens, legal teams, and city departments regarding record access
- Verify document authenticity and redact sensitive information per legal standards
- Assist in developing streamlined workflows for records management
- Prepare monthly compliance reports for departmental review
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year administrative or records management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality handling sensitive data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced government setting
