Responsibilities
- Manage and organize confidential public records in compliance with state regulations
- Process public record requests with accuracy and timeliness
- Utilize county document management systems for indexing and retrieval
- Assist citizens and agencies with information inquiries
- Maintain audit trails and document security protocols
- Collaborate with Records Management team on retention policies
- Prepare routine reports on document processing activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- 1+ years records management or administrative experience
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Basic knowledge of California Public Records Act
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
