Responsibilities
- Process and maintain confidential public health records in compliance with state regulations
- Utilize Texas Health Information Network (THIN) for data entry and retrieval
- Respond to public inquiries regarding immunization certificates and vital records
- Coordinate with county health departments for record transfers
- Assist with audits and compliance documentation
- Train on HIPAA and Texas Public Information Act requirements
- Generate reports for public health initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year records management or administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of Texas public records laws preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must pass criminal background check
