Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation of federally-funded public health initiatives across 93 counties
- Develop and manage multi-million dollar grant budgets with strict compliance requirements
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Analyze population health data to inform policy recommendations
- Lead cross-functional teams of epidemiologists and health educators
- Collaborate with CDC and state legislators on health legislation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years experience in government/public health management
- Proficiency in federal grant management systems (e.g., SAM.gov)
- Valid Nebraska Public Health Administrator certification
- Experience with Epi-Info or similar health data analysis tools
- Knowledge of HIPAA and ACA compliance regulations
- FBI background clearance required
