Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments and interviews with program applicants to determine eligibility for state services.
- Process and maintain accurate, confidential case files and documentation in compliance with state regulations.
- Assist in the administration of state pension and benefit programs for eligible employees.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries and resolving issues via phone, email, and in-person.
- Collaborate with local community organizations and other state agencies to coordinate services.
- Prepare reports and summaries regarding program performance and client demographics.
- Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on policy changes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred in Public Administration, Social Services, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or government operations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by state policy.
- Must be available for a flexible schedule, including occasional evening or weekend shifts.
