Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and manual inspection techniques
- Operate walk-through metal detectors and trace detection equipment
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections as authorized
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity
- Provide clear instructions to travelers during screening processes
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel

Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state-issued driver's license or government ID
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
