We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) as Part-Time Security Screeners in Phoenix, Arizona. Responsibilities
- Operate Screening Equipment: Monitor and operate X-ray machines, walk-through metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology to identify prohibited items.
- Enforce Security Protocols: Apply federal security regulations consistently and impartially to ensure the safety of the transportation system.
- Passenger Assistance: Assist travelers with special needs, provide clear instructions, and de-escalate situations to ensure a smooth passenger flow.
- Baggage Inspection: Inspect carry-on baggage and personal items, identifying threats and resolving discrepancies.
- Shift Work: Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 airport operations.
- Documentation: Accurately document screening activities, equipment malfunctions, and security incidents.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required for this position.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is mandatory.
- Clearance: Ability to pass a federal background investigation and receive a favorable adjudication of public trust eligibility.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk continuously, and lift up to 25 pounds. Must pass a medical examination.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- License: A valid Driverβs License is preferred.
