Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and bag inspections per TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify suspicious items or behaviors
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining strict security standards
- Complete incident reports and maintain security documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff during security alerts
- Participate in continuous security training and certification programs
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal resident status with required documentation
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer proficiency for security systems
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
