Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance to veterans regarding VA benefits, healthcare programs, and eligibility requirements
- Process and manage veteran benefit claims with accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless access to VA medical services
- Maintain detailed electronic records while maintaining strict confidentiality standards
- Conduct outreach to connect veterans with community support services and resources
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address complex veteran needs
- Stay current on VA policies, regulations, and program updates
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in social work, public administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or government settings
- Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex information clearly
- Knowledge of VA benefits systems and veteran support programs preferred
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional off-site meetings
