Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS benefits
- Process retirement applications and ensure compliance with federal regulations (5 CFR Part 841)
- Conduct complex benefit calculations and provide accurate financial counseling
- Collaborate with HR departments to resolve pension-related inquiries and disputes
- Develop and implement pension policy improvements aligned with OPM guidelines
- Maintain confidential employee records and audit pension fund transactions
- Train federal employees on retirement planning and pension options
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or federal benefits experience
- Expertise in TSP, FERS, and CSRS regulations
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems
- Federal background investigation clearance eligibility
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, CBP) preferred
