Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund operations and participant accounts in compliance with ERISA and Louisiana state regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements accurately
- Conduct annual plan audits and regulatory reporting for state and federal authorities
- Develop and implement pension policy improvements aligned with legislative changes
- Provide expert guidance to retirees, employees, and agency HR partners
- Oversee investment portfolio monitoring and actuarial valuations
- Lead system upgrades for pension administration software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience with government or public sector
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a) regulations, and Louisiana retirement statutes
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration systems (e.g., Oracle, Milliman)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Qualified Retirement Administrator (QRA) designation
