Responsibilities
- Manage and administer multi-million dollar pension portfolios in compliance with state regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and member inquiries with precision
- Conduct complex financial modeling and forecasting for long-term fund sustainability
- Collaborate with legal and audit teams to ensure adherence to ERISA and NC statutes
- Develop member education materials and retirement planning workshops
- Oversee vendor relationships and technology systems for pension administration
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state legislature and oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension fund or retirement plan administration experience
- Certified Retirement Administrator (CRA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Expertise in ERISA, GAAP, and state pension regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Albridge)
