Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize state pension plans ensuring compliance with ERISA and Georgia regulations
- Process daily transactions for contributions, distributions, and investment reconciliations
- Conduct regular audits of pension accounts to maintain accuracy and regulatory standards
- Provide expert guidance to retirees and beneficiaries regarding pension benefits and options
- Collaborate with investment teams to align portfolio strategies with pension obligations
- Develop comprehensive reports for stakeholders including legislative updates and financial projections
- Implement process improvements for pension administration efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or retirement planning experience
- Certified Pension Administrator (CPA) or similar designation preferred
- Proficiency in pension management software and advanced Excel functions
- Deep understanding of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Georgia pension statutes
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial detail
