Responsibilities
- Manage pension account administration including benefit calculations, distributions, and record maintenance
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and California state pension laws
- Provide expert guidance to plan participants regarding retirement options, survivor benefits, and claim processing
- Analyze pension data trends and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders
- Collaborate with investment and actuarial teams to align retirement strategies
- Develop and implement process improvements for pension operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or retirement plan experience
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Millennium, Albridge)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory compliance
- Excellent verbal/written communication for stakeholder interactions
- California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) certification preferred
- Ability to obtain fiduciary designation within 12 months
