Responsibilities
- Administer multi-employer pension plans including benefit calculations, distributions, and vesting schedules
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and New York State pension laws
- Process retirement applications and provide member education on pension benefits
- Collaborate with investment teams to manage fund assets and actuarial projections
- Generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Implement system upgrades to streamline pension administration processes
- Conduct audits and resolve complex pension-related inquiries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years' experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- SPBC (Pension Plan Administration) or CEBS certification required
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, IRC 414, and New York Retirement & Social Security Law
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in actuarial calculations
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder presentations and member training
- Valid New York State driver's license
