Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund administration including eligibility calculations, disbursements, and record-keeping
- Ensure compliance with NY State Retirement and Social Security regulations
- Develop and implement benefit enrollment procedures for new and retiring employees
- Analyze pension fund performance using actuarial modeling tools
- Collaborate with HR departments on retirement planning workshops
- Prepare comprehensive reports for regulatory bodies and stakeholders
- Oversee pension system upgrades and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, NYSLRS, and IRS pension regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Milliman, Mercer)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in actuarial calculations
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QPA) preferred
