Responsibilities
- Administer defined-benefit pension plans including contribution calculations, benefit disbursements, and participant communications
- Ensure strict compliance with federal/state pension regulations and audit requirements
- Manage investment portfolio reporting and actuarial valuations with external advisors
- Develop retirement education materials and conduct employee benefit workshops
- Coordinate with HR and finance departments for seamless payroll integration
- Lead annual plan reviews and regulatory filings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years pension administration experience with government or public sector plans
- SPBC or CEBS certification strongly preferred
- Expertise in ERISA, IRS 415/416 regulations, and Colorado pension statutes
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial documents
