Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund disbursements and retirement account maintenance
- Process weekly payroll for state employees with pension contributions
- Ensure compliance with Texas state pension regulations and ERISA guidelines
- Provide retirement counseling and benefits education to state employees
- Coordinate with state auditors and financial institutions for fund reconciliation
- Develop retirement plan documentation and benefit summaries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 3+ years of pension administration or retirement planning experience
- Certified Public Retirement Administrator (CPRA) designation preferred
- Proficiency with state pension software (e.g., TRS systems)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA and Texas pension regulations
- Excellent communication skills for employee benefits counseling
