Responsibilities
- Administer retirement plans for 2,500+ government employees including contributions, distributions, and record-keeping
- Ensure strict adherence to ERISA, IRS, and Florida pension regulations
- Process weekly payroll deductions and pension fund contributions accurately
- Analyze fund performance data and prepare quarterly reports for stakeholders
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding retirement benefits and eligibility
- Collaborate with auditors during annual compliance reviews
- Develop educational materials for retirement planning workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Florida retirement laws
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
