Responsibilities
- Manage and administer the City's pension plan in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Process member contributions, distributions, and benefit calculations Conduct audits and financial reporting for pension fund operationsAdvise employees and retirees on pension benefits and eligibilityCollaborate with investment teams to monitor fund performanceDevelop and implement pension policies and proceduresPrepare comprehensive reports for City Council and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field Minimum 5 years of pension administration experienceProficiency with pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, CyberRegs)Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation preferredStrong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and California pension lawsExceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage confidential information with discretion
